Great ad visuals aren’t about looking fancy. They’re about getting attention, being readable, and making people take action.
Open Canva and start a new design. Use 1080x1080 for feed ads, 1080x1920 for stories.
Ideally, you'll make the same ad in both formats.
Pick a bold background color that contrasts with Facebook’s blue and white. Black, red, orange, or deep blue work best.
Use a headline-first layout. The text should be the biggest thing on the image. Don’t bury the message in the caption—make it impossible to miss.
Best placement:
Headline at the top
Supporting text underneath, smaller but still clear
Call to action (if needed) at the bottom
Font pairings that work well:
Bold & clean: Montserrat + Open Sans
High-end & luxury: Playfair Display + Lato
Modern & tech: Outfit + Poppins
Aggressive & loud: Anton + Oswald
Keep the image simple. A strong background color, a bold headline, and maybe a small icon or product image if needed. No clutter.
Download as PNG or JPG for static ads, MP4 for animated ads. Upload to Facebook Ads Manager, run it, and watch it convert.
